Video Otoscope

We use the Video Otoscope, a
specially-designed digital video endoscope, to examine and capture still
pictures or video loops from deep within your pet's ear canal, nostril, oral
cavity, penis sheath or rectum. These magnified and illuminated images are
viewed by us and our clients in real time on the large flat screen monitors in
each exam room. This is very helpful in diagnosing polyps, tumors, foreign
bodies, excess hair, ear mites, damage and integrity of the tympanum or ear drum
and bacterial or yeast infection of the ears. When used in the oral cavity, this
scope can also visualize tumors, foreign bodies, infection and fractured,
missing or misaligned teeth in the back of the mouth. These images or video
loops are then saved and stored in the patient's permanent electronic medical records. |
