The isolation ward is a separate room with its own filtered heated or cooled air supply. We use strict contamination control procedures including specific instruments and equipment for this area. We wear disposable paper gowns, caps, masks and booties to prevent the spread of a possibly contagious infection while still giving our patient the medical care they need.
