Mike McCarthy DVM joined the staff of The Animal Hospital in July,
2004. He completed undergraduate
studies at
Lake Superior
State
University
in 1997, graduated from
Michigan
State
University
in 1999, and
Michigan
State
’s
College
of
Veterinary Medicine
in 2001. He spent his first
three years in a private mixed-animal practice located in the heart of
Michigan
’s
Upper Peninsula
. Training with a journeyman
surgeon, Dr. McCarthy had the opportunity to perform complex surgical procedures
on both large and small animals. When not
at work he enjoys spending time with his wife Stephanie, their two sons Erick
and Ethan, and their dog Haley.
